Per my DVR guide (all times Eastern)

5:00-6:00- Geno Show
6:00-6:30- A Tribute to the Class of 2012
6:30-7:00- Senior Ceremony 2012
7:00-9:15- St. John's at UConn

Posting this for two reasons:

1. So people are aware of the coverage and watch/record as they see fit.
2. To point out that I have a hard time believing SNY or another suitor for UConn WBB would devote a block of four hours and 15 minutes of coverage to the program.

Great Point and we are very lucky to get to see the best team in America say goodbye to its senior players. Will St. John's watch the ceremony or go to the locker room?.......My guess is sit and watch.......

If only the Administration at Storrs would read #2!

Just want to add that CPTV is re-airing the Geno Show Special Edition at 3:30 (this was the show taped on 2/9 in front of a live audience originally aired before the Georgetown game on 2/11). CPTV will also re-air the Tribute to the Class of 2012 after the game.

I would agree that the administration needs to look very carefully at the quality of programming CPTV has offered and continues to offer. I don't see SNY committing the time to the women's team.

It may be time for all of us to express our concerns to Susan!

Ok, question was is the financial threshold at which the income from SNY contract must be pursued. 1.1x as much, 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x, 3x? Meaning if CPTV's bid were $1 million then SNY's must be somewhere from $1.1 million or $3 million? More?

Thanks for posting.
On the contract issues - the RFP that was linked in a thread a year or more ago was very specific in outlining requirements for a successful bid. I read the whole thing but my memory is not what it used to be, and I have not been able to track down a link on either Uconn or CT State sites but:
1. Live vs. delayed broadcast was a major consideration.
2. Extra programming was specifically addressed.
3. Development and marketing of Uconn and enhancements was a further consideration.

One of the problems for Uconn is that it is a State school and its budget runs through public coffers. I do not know how quality of programming vs. bottom line dollars will be assessed, but while we all love our women, more people love their tax dollars so I suspect there will be considerable pressure on the dollar side. With ever level of government facing tough economic times, this contract is probably coming up at the worst possible time. I do believe CPTV will get some preference because of their long standing with the program and the quality of their product, but I think in dollar terms it will not be a very significant number. I would think anything above 10% would be very hard to justify to the whole population of the state - not just the fans of WCBB.

Really? Can you harken back to past Senior nights and describe what the opposing teams did and what the board's reaction was?
