he does have a certain level of commitment and I think he likes UConn. I remember when he first started and he went to basketball games just trying to meet people and I'm thinking to myself. This is more than just the job. He's trying to create a legacy.

For those of us that are in the later stages of our career, they may not fully understand that legacy sometimes is the only thing that really matters.

I can see that. He didn't really leave any imprint in his prior HC gigs. Sure he had some success but nobody is saying remember the good ol' days when Mora was coach. He can get that here.

I really think UConn made out well with picking JM compared to some with college success such as Moorhead or Haricimiac Maybe Chesney would have been good but who knows? I liked Mora and he has exceeded my expectations as UConn was in a dark place.

Chesney is a good coach.

Harasymiak is a good coach who has put himself in a terrible position at UMass.

Mora has been great for us -- I think either of these guys would have gotten the job done, too.
