They are BORING and provide zero insight. All style no substance....I think we are stuck with them for a long while though.I guess I don't get why everyone gets annoyed with these 2 pros' unless you're so damn nitpicky.............they're both very good!!!

the guy i just cant listen to is verne lundquist, he gets names wrong all the time,is slow on calls and yesterday during one of the games he was saying a player was taking a 3 for the lead when it would of only tied the game. he repeated it several times. im actually glad they got rid of gus johnson that guy is just
i like nance, a lot. he is very versatile. i watched him live one sunday, back when nbc (or cbs?) did their football show in rockefellar center. the dude was incredibly smooth. and to digress a bit further, deion sanders was wearing the most rediculous fur coat - it was absolutely designed for a woman - and the nyc spectators were so merciless, he actually swapped it out for a blazer during commercial. good times.
back to nance: he is a ct dude, and he is a supporter of the uconn program. there are many worse booth guys out there.
I was at the 2003 Final Four and stayed at the same hotel CBS stayed at (Intercontinental) and got to talk to Nance. He definitely follows UConn and likes them but as you said he can't root for teams. I didn't ask him why he likes UConn but I'm assuming it's because he lives in CT and gets to see them more than any other team. The conversation started when he saw my UConn shirt and gave me a thumbs up. I told him that UConn will be there next year. He said, "They should be here this year." I was at the 2004 Final Four in San Antonio but never did see him to follow up on my comment from the year before. Is this accurate?
I remember the 1999 NC game and it seemed like he was very pro-Duke, esp. harping on Langdon and Coach K. If you go back and listen to the game, he talks about Duke the whole time. Sometimes guys have conflicts of interest and thus try to be impartial, but it didn't seem so in this case.
