How about railing on the NCAA about banning UConn next year when they could easily use more current data to get a more accurate picture of UConn player academics....alot more interesting than watching Anthony Davis facial expressions....if he was really hurt would he be on the court in a 20 point blowout.

Agree, Nantz has become increasingly annoying over the years and Kellogg is an ah*le.

I guess I don't get why everyone gets annoyed with these 2 pros' unless you're so damn nitpicky.............they're both very good!!!

They are BORING and provide zero insight. All style no substance....I think we are stuck with them for a long while though.

Zero insight? Clark Kellog at least knows the rules of the game and can explain them in a very astute fashion within the flow of a broadcast. This is more than I can say for some of the other "analysts" (looking at you Reggie Miller) that Turner/CBS trot out there for the premier showcase of the sport.

If anyone hates Kellog then they must love no broadcaster.

The only thing that seems to have changed with kellogg and nantz is their obvious need to be politically correct with refs......that could be the need for cbs to keep the contract.....

i like nance, a lot. he is very versatile. i watched him live one sunday, back when nbc (or cbs?) did their football show in rockefellar center. the dude was incredibly smooth. and to digress a bit further, deion sanders was wearing the most rediculous fur coat - it was absolutely designed for a woman - and the nyc spectators were so merciless, he actually swapped it out for a blazer during commercial. good times.

back to nance: he is a ct dude, and he is a supporter of the uconn program. there are many worse booth guys out there.

I'm happy someone else noticed Verne's awful calls: (when down three) "Three for the win!!! for the WIN!!! (10 seconds later) actually that free throw made it a three point game, so those shots were to tie it." Thanks for your insight Verne...

Hell, I'd prefer listening to 'Hot Like Fire' Dickey Simpkins...

I think Nantz (most aggregiously) and Kellogg over-reacted to the possible ADavis injury to balance their prior under-reaction to the Kendall Marshall injury which is the story of the tournament. Kentucky has it sown up with NC out. You could make an all-star team with the rest of the final four and that starting 5 would be less talented than Kentucky's.

CBS should have re-upped Gus Johnson.....Verne was bad this weekend. What will Gus Johnson do over at Fox? Football and UFC?

Is this accurate?

I remember the 1999 NC game and it seemed like he was very pro-Duke, esp. harping on Langdon and Coach K. If you go back and listen to the game, he talks about Duke the whole time. Sometimes guys have conflicts of interest and thus try to be impartial, but it didn't seem so in this case.

I was at the 2003 Final Four and stayed at the same hotel CBS stayed at (Intercontinental) and got to talk to Nance. He definitely follows UConn and likes them but as you said he can't root for teams. I didn't ask him why he likes UConn but I'm assuming it's because he lives in CT and gets to see them more than any other team. The conversation started when he saw my UConn shirt and gave me a thumbs up. I told him that UConn will be there next year. He said, "They should be here this year." I was at the 2004 Final Four in San Antonio but never did see him to follow up on my comment from the year before.
