She played great. Knew she had it in her. If she can keep this up, she's gonna be a good one.
One of my favorite plays by Stef was when she had her back to the basket at the free throw line and was looking for an open teammate to pass the ball to. When she couldn't find anyone, she turned and dribbled her way in for a layup. I was on crutches this past September and probably moved quicker than Stef with the ball last night. She looked slow and tired but it's just the way she moves, like a freight train gathering steam or like Geno said, she moves like the Queen Mary.Stef's movement made her look tired at times (not running hard enough down the floor) but her body language didn't show it.
I'm sure she was tired. She played more minutes than she has in quite awhile, in a very intense game. She should be tired.Incidentally, did anyone notice that Doris Burke mentioned that Stefanie looked tired at various points in the game? Any opinions on that? Do you think she still needs to work on her conditioning for next season?
Yes, I also noticed that. She must have bounced the ball at least three times; thought for sure she was going to kick it into the stands, but she made it work and scored! One of my favorite plays by Stef was when she had her back to the basket at the free throw line and was looking for an open teammate to pass the ball to.
