If we win tomorrow it’ll be huge. It’ll almost stamp our return for the fanbase. We’d almost be poised in to go into our tourney at 19-12 and a * ton of MOMENTUM. Add in its senior night and the place will be packed to capacity. STORM THE FREAKING COURT. We Back
 
If you beat the #1 ranked team, you storm the court. Any other court storming is bush league.

I was also at that game in the lower student section....Got some screen time in the episode of Basketball Diaries that featured the women’s team. One of the best game atmospheres I’ve ever been in.

Has the court storm after beating Texas in 2010 been brought up yet? Texas was ranked #1 and they were coming off a loss earlier in the week, and we still stormed the court after that win.

And it was soo much fun doing it, and it takes a special kind of loser to complain about it
 
If we win the AAC Tourney and have representation in TX, then hell yeah. Leave a mess and in fact get ugly with it. Tear that sucker up!

Say goodbye to the conference properly.

Technically they were still ranked #1. A lame duck #1, but still. I was at this game too - awesome time!

Since this was written, we’ve reached the “Old Money Principle” heights of the college basketball elite (3+ banners). So no storming!

Unfortunately, we are currently operating under a “Protocol Exception” because our “august basketball program has hit the skids to a dispiriting degree” (missing 2+ consecutive NCAA tournaments).

So storming is temporarily allowed under limited circumstances until we regain our rightful place in the college basketball hierarchy. But only if we (1) beat the #1 ranked team or (2) beat a top 5 team on a buzzer beater.

Maybe we’ll have a chance next year in the Big East. As Hurley would say, get your storming in now students! Because the days when we wouldn’t think of it are coming.
 
I believe that it should only be reserved for home wins vs. a #1 opponent. Let's not start handing out too many trophies now. And I'm a millenial!
 
Four national championships and one of the best programs over the last 20-25 years means we’ve been there before and should act like it. Storming the court/storming the field is for when the unthinkable happens. If we’re talking about our football team and we beat a top program you storm the field because it’s so unlikely to happen. You don’t see the blue blood fans storming the courts or the Alabama/OSU/Clemson football fans storming the field. Once you become elite that all ends and even after a few rough years our b-ball program is still in the elites.

I'd be okay with it if we win tomorrow, especially if we go with just 6 guys. That would be a pretty big accomplishment.
