The fumble against Towson seems to have shaken this kid's confidence to the point that he won't go anywhere near oncoming punts. Five punts, five balls that hit the ground. Can we at least put somebody back there to fair catch punts and save 5-10 yards of bounce rolling?

Lots of areas to address and this one is probably low on the totem pole.

Kid needs to get back on the proverbial horse (easier said then done but this is where Buggs/Weist needs to take him for a ride and have a man-to-man convo).

Since we're talking about punts - I'd like someone to down our punts inside the 10 (or 5) instead of losing a sense of where there are on the field and causing a touchback and losing 10-15 yards. (especially @ the student section side of the field)!

Funny you mention this because my brother and I talked about it last night after a punt went into the end zone. Matthew Slater smothered and downed a punt against the Jets on the 5 yard line the other night. We LOVED that. Why risk letting the ball roll into the end zone when you have an opportunity to down the ball anywhere inside the 10 (unless the ball is rolling very slowly)? I'd rather take the sure thing downed punt on the 5 then risk a touchback by letting it hit the ground to go for downing it on the 1. Risking 15 yards to gain 4 more yards just doesn't seem like a good play.
