Should I buy a new car now or post-election?

I'm the Chief Lending Officer at a credit union; manufacturers are offering great deals right now. I would buy now.

It's all about tariffs, or so they say. Anyone have any insight?
Now is always better than later if you actually need a new car. Most "foreign" cars are made in the USA anyway, so tariffs won't affect many cars. Several "American" cars are made in Mexico.

Keep in mind that tariffs will affect components, so they could still impact the final price.

That's true, they might, but components of a US end product are often not subject to tariffs. Will depend on how they do this. But that's why I said if you need the car, buy it now. Prices aren't going down.
