OMFG!!!

Can KML and Bria please end their shooting slumps already!!! I'm not a very demanding fan, but those two have been killing me lately. Since being named to the 2012 Mid-Season Wooden Award list, both players have stunk it up from the floor especially from 3 (minus a couple buckets here and there)...I'm glad they are doing other things to help the team, but we need our shooters to get back on track (as the schedule will not get any easier the rest of the season (save the Pitt game).

I'm sure they want to more than you do; as far as I know no one has ever explained slumps in ay sport.
All the great ones have slumps; the greatest have short ones though.

Seems like every time we get a lively discussion going some clown has to present the facts and ruin everything.

I understand that overall (on the entire season their numbers are very good, but my concern is over their last 4 games since the announcement of the Wooden list)

To give you all a better understanding of what I mean...

Bria - 10.0 ppg on 36% FG & 19% 3FG (4 total 3's)
KML - 6.8 ppg on 23% FG & 28% 3FG (7 total 3's)...has only shot 2 FT's over the last 4 games

...Kelly is also struggling mightily - 4.8 ppg on 28% FG & 13% 3FG (1 total 3's)...has only shot 4 FT's over the last 4 games, but more inmportantly only has 7 asts compared to 12 TOs over the same span (where before she had over a 2.2 A/TO ratio...91 asts./41 TOs)

All I'm saying is...
1. that those three's struggles are directly effecting our offense (although we did play 3 better defensive teams)...56, 66, 61, & 77 are our totals from the last 4 games

2. our "overall" guard play must improve (which I have no doubt that it will...these poor girls just need a few days rest) if we want to go far in the BE and NCAA Tournaments!!! Watch out America when Tiff, Doty, KML, Bria, Kelly, and our posts (Stef, Kiah, and Heather) are all playing well on the same night....UNBEATABLE!!!!!!!

I have faith!!!!!!!!!!! Go Huskies....exceeding everyone's expectations for 2011-12 and proving the doubters wrong!!!!!

More stats. It seems the slumps are mostly from the perimeter:

KML
vs Louisville 1-9, (1-6 three)
vs RU 4-10 (3-7)
vs Duke 2-10 (2-6)
vs USF 2-10 (1-6)
vs SU 7-19 (2-9)

Bria
vs Louisville 3-10, (1-6)
vs RU 2-7 (2-6)
vs Duke 5-10 (1-5)
vs USF 3-9 (0-4)
vs SU 6-9 (3-5)

Kelly
vs Louisville 1-7 (0-4)
vs RU 1-5 (0-1)
vs Duke 3-8 (1-2)
vs USF 2-5 (0-1)
vs SU 0-1 (0-1)

In KML's case, those FG stats actually show the opposite - she has been ice cold from everywhere on the floor except in the Syracuse game.

To those who replied to my earlier post, I want to reiterate (as stated in the post) that I didn't intend those stats as refuting or confirming recent slumps. They were just a point of reference for where we are for the season overall. I simply thought it would be interesting to see where we stood vis a vis the other top programs this year.
