Nova plays UCLA, Tennessee Game 1 and North Caroline/Purdue game 2 at Mohegan Sun then Syracuse MSG and also Baylor and you have them with one OOC loss. I see at least two Ls in OOC portion of their schedule. No JRE who started last night for OKC by the way, is a big whole to fill for Nova. There bigs are young and will need time to develop. You want to beat Nova early.

I have them beating UCLA (who I think is very overrated). They will beat Syracuse and Baylor and split at Mohegan.

Wow, I saw your bracketology and you are very down on UCLA. Why ? They have a lot coming back.

They barely squeaked into the tournament for a reason last year: they weren't that good. They got hot at the right time but over the course of the season they weren't very consistent. A #10 seed would represent them being safely in the field by 8 or so spots so it would be an improvement over last year but I am honestly baffled by UCLA being the #2 team in the country. Had they not finished off Michigan State in the first four last year, they probably wouldn't be ranked to start the year. The other team I don't buy is Memphis: Penny has yet to get to an NCAA in three years. This is his best team so I think they get in safely but they are not a top 15 team.

If we finish 4th with this team that would be a big failure. We are a much better team than Xavier and Seton Hall

I agree, but I am concerned about where the points will come from, especially on the road. I think we go 9-1 at home in the BE, and 4-6 away.

UCLA is and will be so much better than you give them credit -
Nova will have at least 8 losses this year
Creighton wont win 17 games
I do like your St John's scenario but they don't make the NBE tourny final - semis maybe

We have 7 guys who can score double digits on any given night - Cole, Gaff, Martin, Polley, Whaley, Sanogo, Hawkins. And that's not even including Jackson will likely end up being our best player this year. Why is everyone so freaked out about the offense like it's a bunch of YMCA players?? Elite defense leads to transition offense. This team is absolutely loaded

Hawkins has yet to play and Whaley and Sanogo play down low so they won't have the ball at the end of a game. The other four are wildly inconsistent.
