Tennessee was working with a skeleton crew against LSU, and it showed. For much of the game, they really struggled at home against the Tigers. Worth noting is that Glory Johnson, even though she played, wasn't 100% either. Well, both practiced and are expected to go against ND.

The story says Spani is no longer on crutches, but she will not be available to play immediately.

Going to be a very tough proposition for Tennessee to go into South Bend and beat ND, even at full strength. As banged up as they are, it could be an ugly loss. An upset win, however, could change the entire tenor of their season.

Not sure I would want her back against ND. ND plays so physical it could be really hard on Shekinna and the risk of getting further hurt has to be higher.

Well, they're pretty much forfeiting without her. The team they fielded against LSU was in no way, shape, or form ready for prime time. Shekinna can carry you for a period when others are having trouble scoring. With her and Spani both out, it would be target practice. Will be interesting to see how much mixing it up inside she does, though.

I understand but if she gets hurt further in a physical brawl in South Bend it could cost them a lot more down the road.

I am glad she is able to play. Let's hope she stays healthy. She is very important not just for this game but rest of the season.

In theory Striklen gives them a chance to win at ND (which is small but without her there is no chance) and if they do than the confidence they'll take from it can take them a long way.
