UCONN has better Diggs.
She'll have her own nice setup in Storrs after Geno wins a few more titles and retires.

I will miss her presence....and I thought she would stay the course and succeed Geno. Maybe in the future it can still happen.
 
She did show a bit of awe while checking out the new office. A couple of months of 12 hour days will give the office a more homey (and cluttered) look. Many a player will have some apprehension on being beckoned there.

A little story about Shea...many years ago i drove to watch UConn play at Cincinnati (in the old Big East) in which UConn won and after the game i was in the crowd of people where the team exited. A fan came to C. Doty and ask her to sign on a Cincinnati paper and with Doty about to comply, Shea appears out of no where, pulls out the paper from Doty, gives it back to the fan and tells Doty, we do not sign on anything which is not UConn....
 
Having to play so many games on that court would drive me crazy. The benches are on the ends - not on the sides. Welcome to the SEC. It’s a war every single game.

Not Geno's style! His has what's most important of a great coach; memories, loyalty and endurance that make a program great (not to mention championships) :)

I am sure you are right. I’ll bet Shea would trade her new office for all those memories, trophies, etc.

That's a positive way to put it.
I would have characterized her normal sideline appearance as antipathetic.
(not always, but in general)
Something she'll have to modify as a head coach.
 
You might describe the look as resting *itch face, but we aren't supposed to talk about appearances. I remember when she played the expression on her face was intimidating.
 
There's no downside to her taking this job, from an athletics administrative point of view.

Cool how the baseball team were giving her props.
