That's why after a while, the fans get tired of hearing the same old excuse about waiting for the process for a team to become winners.
So they'll fire the assistant coaches, the scouts & other staff, the coach, & even the atheltic director to begin the process all over again with new staff that promote a renewed or improved process.
They may even pressure athletes to transfer to bring some better athletes.
I think the reality is that random players are put together on a team & the coach mixes & shakes them up well & then sees what kind of gourmet meal that they can cook up with them.
If a school has stronger NIL resources then they can get some better players to add flavor to the mix.
It's all part of the process.
They try to make the fans & the players believe that they're special whether they win or not.
They're all warriors from the top of the roster to the bottom.
It's both a sports process & a business process.
There's still a lot of salemansship involved no matter how you look at it.
Everyone has something that they're trying to sell, each player, school, program, coach, league, the NCAA.
They're all invested in the process of making athetes into "champions."
The process has a lot of mutiual benefits for all involved.
This year you're a champion & next year someone else will be the next champion.
