Things happened quickly as she goes from Dayton to Illinois where they haven't been to the NCAAT in 20 years.
She's the right lady for the job as the school has invested $40 million to build a new athletic center and have also renovated their arena.
I'll be rooting for her success in the Big 10.

Illinois Athletic department spokesperson Kent Brown said Green has a six-year contract with a starting salary of $800,000 per year, with a retention bonus every two years.

Green replaces Nancy Fahey, who retired March 4 after five seasons at Illinois. She had a record of 42-99. The Illini finished 7-20 this season and lost 67-53 to Dayton on Nov. 26 at the Daytona Beach Invitational.

Solid hire for Illinois. I hope that folks are patient and allow Coach Green time to build a solid program, like she did at Dayton. Just will take some time.

To be fair, Green didn't build the Dayton program from nothing. She took over a very successful program that, for example, in 2015 had reached the Elite 8 and led UConn at halftime. As an assistant to Jabir, Green was part of building that success at Dayton, but lifting up the Illinois program from the cellar is an entirely different challenge.

Well good luck to the Illini… $800,000 is quite a bit of money a year to climb out of the cellar in the Big Ten even ( I’m from Illinois).
