Lay out your strategy. Remember, you are the lead recruiter for a team in a lame duck conference. What is your sell? Remember to factor in academic requirements.

Where is your focus, what states are you focusing on? JUCO?

How are you evaluating the talenr? Highlights? Full game film? Performance at camps? Measurables? Word of mouth? Twitter posts?

Just so we're clear, Dan, on what you're not complaining about (since you've stopped compalining), are you annoyed because you are better at evaluating talent than the staff is, or is there something more nefarious that is happening. Because if it's the former, you're presumably also better than the staffs at Rutgers, BC and Syracuse, and if the latter you will have to explain to me why he's not holding offers from RU, BC and Syracuse as well as Temple.

Hey now - according to our good friend Butch (dont call him Butchy), Temple is one of the premier football institutions in the nation... POP WARNER coached there, in case you were wondering.

Matakevich was never offered by Uconn and wanted to play here as well as Nastahowski. You say "kids are just not good enough" but Nastahowski emerged as Temple's best linebacker as a "True" Freshmen recording:

15 tackles, 19 tackles against U-Conn, 10 tackles, 10 tackles, 10 tackles, 8 tackles , 13 tackles, and 14 tackles... U-Conn thought he wasn't good enough!

From what I heard Natahowski was a better player than Matakevich at Milford, so Temple will have two great Connecticut players! If anything the reason they were not offered has to be grades not skill.

Ugh, here we go again. I was hoping you had gone away since football season is over. First of all, its UConn, not U-Conn. If you're going to be a fan of the school at least type the name correctly.

LOL...this has to be a classic...5 pages on a guy who we didn't recruit, isn't coming all apparently because we thought other players were better. I wish the kid luck, but this seems like another one of those cases where a guy was seen as a borderline player with questionable academics so we stayed away. But because of his zipcode UConn apparently should have recruited him and accepted him. I propose that we designate a Connecticut only scholarship each year for a Connecticut player regardless of qualifications, based on how aggressively his family and friends post on the boneyard.

all i will say is shane and tyler should both be in husky blue. i have for 2 years now bitched and moaned about those 2 among others and u all know my stance on it. i hope both of them win awards at temple and get drafted. mr. nash, good luck to shane at temple. maybe if uconn can get a invite elsewhere and a new staff next year maybe we can get tyler and shane to transfer in. hopefully they both have ther rs years open. we just lost the best lb in the nation in next years class becuase the staff is full of idiots. another thing i have bitched about for a long time that didn't get done. i cna go on for days but will just shut up...

i talked about hsane and tyler. then i clearly wrote we just lost the best lb in the nation is next years class. that would be 2014 if u can read correctly. what about that do u not get?

if u didn't understand me then ask, i always write messy and know that and fix things but i clearly wasn't talking about shane there. u just went off trying to start a rgument like the clown u are. then your buddy blaw jumps in to really make it a festival. typical bullpoop from the clown ass crew.

Curious. Do you take any credit for making this pla cue look like a negative pit to recruits.

HFD- your really saying Sylva is better then Raekwon McMillan? I hope your joken. Sylva looks good seen a couple of his youtube videos but no where near the talent of the best backers in the country.. Maybe #6 currently "available" linebacker in the country. No where near the best linebacker in the country. Hes really not fast. Yeah Sylva is built like a backer but come on man he doesnt even play top flight talent, so how could you judge him? You CANT.

I watch alot of FCIAC football (also SWC & SCC a little) and Matekevich was a better RB than Nasty, but the better LB was Nasty.
Some kids play other sports and dont attend alot of camps where they get their high ranking. Nasty reminds me of Scott Lutrus.

I'm excited for getting all these other verbals. But the only one I've seen live was Noel. He was dynamite, but the competition was lame.
Has anyone seen any commits in person?

Dont tell the Associated Press handbook.

That is among the many, many things the AP gets wrong.

The fact no one from UConn has ever corrected them is revealing as well.

I can type U-Conn how ever I please that doesn't make me less of a fan than you are because you type it, in your eyes, the proper way and what's the problem with having a healthy debate my friend?? let's not shed a tear grow up!

Tyler is the Big East rookie of the year, so yes I'm upset that U-Conn or should I type Uconn didn't offer this kid!

I really don't mean to knock the kid, but he verballed Akron. At least for the moment that's viewed as a step down from UConn both athletically and academically. I don't knock the coaches for not recruiting guys just because they are from Connecticut. If the kid is good enough we'll find out we made an error. Unfortunate but it happens.

Wow! Still competing with the Akrons of the college football world. We've really turned the new training facility and the big win over Notre Dame into solid gold as folks were predicting back in '09.

Actually we're not. That's what this guy is complaining about. Akron recruited him. UConn did not.
