If So. Carolina did not get someone then why would that signal that they are done recuiting for 2014?

Good question...........I was wondering the same thing.

Some thought she'd end up at South Carolina, which would give them a really good class and pave the way for A'ja Wilson to follow suit. White is a very good get for Dawn.

My point is SC has a nice class but not a great one. Duckett, Cuevas, and Cliney are not game changers. Wilson has a big decision to make this spring, but I wouldn't say SC is in the driver's seat.

Jatari White committed as well, giving them three 5 star recruits, an excellent class.

With Thomas, SC would've had the #2 class [in my rankings], and I think a strong case could've been made to Wilson that something really special was happening in her state and that she could put them over the top.

SC currently has the #7 class, and would end up at #2 with Wilson, so there will still be some pull there.

Maybe you are correct. Hoopgurlz has 52 players rated 5 star. That would be the greatest and deepest class in the history of Women's College Basketball. Somehow I think that's overstating the quality and depth of the class. 2013 had 19 5-star. 2012 had 17. 2011 had 11. I'm not sure you can say all those kids are 5-star, but maybe there are all legit 5-star kids.

I know it's all subjective, but. SC is the # 9 class by ASGR. Players ranked # 12, 48,51, and 128. 1 yes, but who gets 3 5 star recruits out of that? Uconn has players #2, 6, and 8 according to ASGR.
One of the kids who committed to Ohio State thinks her class will form a dynasty. Multiple classes and coaching forms a dynasty, so who does SC get after this class. Uconn is recruiting 4 or 5 players who play for team USA. Wilson to Uconn I think enhances our chances with Durr and the rest of her classmates being recruited by Uconn. I Don't think Wilson to SC leads to as great a class to follow since I haven't seen SC mentioned with many 10 ten kids in 2015.

I don't know what you're point is.
My point is that most kids have some attachment to local schools, but discard them if they're not very good. However if the recruit thinks something is happening locally and the school might have a chance to make go big time, there might be some pull to want to be a part of that. Or to not miss out on it.

Had SC gotten Thomas, I think it would've been tough for Wilson to not stay at home.
