You could argue Shabazz is the best UConn shooter ever when it comes to hitting high degree-of-difficulty shots. I know we've had better pure spot-up shooters (Rip/Ray), but has there been a player here who's hit more TOUGH shots than Shabazz? I don't think so. He redefined my thoughts of what a 'good' shot is when he's taking it.

The kid has shown he can hit every tough shot in the game. Fadeaways, step-backs, deep threes, contested threes, off-balance pull-up threes. He has a ridiculous ability to pump-fake, pause, gather himself, and then shoot again from the same spot and hit the shot. That's SO tough to do. Doesn't matter how well you guard him, because he is smart and shifty enough to create space and get a shot away. And he hits them at a remarkably high rate. This amazing ability of his compensates for his height deficiencies.

Gonna miss this kid immensely. I have no doubts we will be watching him play in the league for years to come.

He also took a lot of TOUGH i.e. contested and off-balance shots, so maybe that's why we aren't coming around to this idea until now. I also don't know the last player who played at his level for two years and stuck around for four total. So the sheer make/opportunity is going to be higher than most.

Watching this, remembering his rookie year, and thinking about last year, it is easy to me, Shabazz Napier is the best Husky of All Time.

If Ray could have got one ring during his time here, or maybe if the 09 team beats Michigan State and NC, then Kemba is. But as it stands, it is Shabazz

Unlimited range . Strange he isn't in contention for best shooter in the draft . Those deep pull ups in the tourney were next level (specifically the one over Dawson+MSU in the garden, and the nova shots).

I can't imagine how long that took you to do! Incredible job and we all really appreciate the effort.

I'm going to miss that scissors kick.

It's amazing how few of his threes and long twos touched iron.

I wonder if there's ever been another UConn player who scored as many point in OT as Bazz.

i was looking to do research then gave up. I wonder what his numbers look like in OT over his career? I know the numbers of just his epic junior year, but combining that with his other three years would be interesting. so talented
