Sadly, NBA basketball is a game of inches.Hard to believe Shabazz really is out of the league. Kid took the game really serious and showed great resolve. Fun to still watch him on a different stage.
Still, his play was worthy of a contract. This remains a headscratcher to me.Sadly, NBA basketball is a game of inches.
No doubt, but being short suxs no matter how good you are. Its like an extension of when you are on the playground (or court) and their picking teams.Still, his play was worthy of a contract.
Sometimes it’s all about finding the right opportunity. Brad Wanamaker played his first 7 or so seasons overseas before he got a contract with the Celtics, and he was able to use it to get a second contract with the Warriors. I think Shabazz is a better player than Wanamaker, but he needs to find a good landing spot next.Still, his play was worthy of a contract. This remains a headscratcher to me.
True but often times this doesn’t happen. Luck plays a big partSometimes it’s all about finding the right opportunity. Luck = Timing (injury, void, non production) Kemba struck gold going to Charlotte. Sure it was talent but anywhere else may not have been as good for his career. Talent does not always equal success but matched with luck it can make the difference. Even Bouk is not immune to falling to a 'bad match' team.True but often times this doesn’t happen. But on the playground, it's the guys who dominate on the court AND aren't hesitant to take charge that do the picking. Trust me, Bazz would be the man doing the picking. AND the one asking 'WHO'S NEXT' after the game was over.No doubt, but being short suxs no matter how good you are. Tremont Waters is with the Celtics. Last man on the bench. Living the dream.Sadly, NBA basketball is a game of inches.
The Celtics have Carson Edwards and Tremont Waters. That’s roughly 11 and a half feet of basketball player.Tremont Waters is with the Celtics. Last man on the bench. Living the dream.
Marquis Teague has been out of the league since 2018No way Marcus Teague is better than Shabazz
I assumed he was referring to Jeff, he's been terrible with the Cs and the TWolves played better with Bazz on the court instead of him last season, imo.Marquis Teague has been out of the league since 2018

Bazz isnt the shortest guy in the NBA. Hes not in the league because teams feel hes just not good enough, not because of his height. No doubt, but being short suxs no matter how good you are. Its like an extension of when you are on the playground (or court) and their picking teams.
They know he’s good enough. In most case they prefer someone younger like cheap second Round draft picksBazz isnt the shortest guy in the NBA. Hes not in the league because teams feel hes just not good enough, not because of his height.
