Shabazz Napier triple-double notes: * 2nd career triple-double (also vs Coppin State in Nov. 2011) * one of two active players with 2 triple-doubles (UCF's Isaiah Sykes) * 10th triple-double in UConn history (only UConn player with multiple triple-doubles)

Through the first half of Monday's game vs Yale, Neils Giffey is 10-11 FG this season, including 8-8 on 3-pt FG. He is 5-5 3-pt FG today.. the most made 3-pt FG without a miss in a game in UConn history is 7-7 by Rashad Anderson in 2005.

When Yale crept to with 11 points and the 1508 fans still in the arena clenching their butt cheeks in fear there was Bazz reeling off 6 straight points. Gotta love him.

Top 5 players in program history. Yes, I understand that is a huge statement. Yes, I mean it.

Projection alert. There were more than 1,508 there and none looked to be clenching at that point in time.

Bazz looks like he could score anytime he wants.

What stress? It's November. The kid's clearly trying to get other guys going. I can't believe anyone thought for a second they were going to lose that game.

Kemba Walker, Hasheem Thabeet, Marcus Williams, Ben Gordon, Emeka Okafor, Caron Butler, Doron Sheffer and Donyell Marshall are the other Huskies to have accomplished the feat.

All except Sheffer (the 36th overall pick but chose to sign with Maccabi) were first round NBA draft picks. Just food for thought for all the people that think Bazz won't play in the NBA.

BTW was it Emeka or Thabeet that got screwed off a triple double by an opposing teams score keeper? I think whoever it was had 11 blocks and they only counted 10. Would have given them 2 triple doubles.

Napier seriously is a threat for a triple double any game he can get rebounds, esp. against some of the not so good teams this year.

He's averaging, 15.5, 8.5, 9. Yeah I think he's healthy again.

Sloth may have said Kemba isn't walking through the building, but he forgot, this is UConn where stars are born every year. In two years he will likely be saying: "Napier isn't walking through that door" as some young gun picks up the belt.

Pretty sure it was Emeka. They didn't count at least 2 or 3 blocks in the game.

If they only counted ten it still would have been enough.

In the (discussed in another thread) Arizona game EO's freshman year, he was credited with nine blocks but before OT Billy Packer continued to complain that by his count Emeka had four more than the scorer was giving him.

Goodman must have been the scorekeeper! The gift that keeps on giving.

Yeah, it was that game. EO: 19,15,9, and JC was miffed. He thought that EO had 3 or 4 more blocks.
