Have we ever beat Duke for a commitment? Ben was leftovers (big mistake).

As a matter of fact, yes... the final two contenders who we beat out for Roscoe Smith were...

Georgetown and.... Duke

Thanks. I remember Gtown...he committed right before one of the more embarrassing UConn losses in recent memory, when we blew a gigantic lead against the Hoyas. Didn't remember that Duke was on him.

Nah, we just beat on the court when the stakes are high, you know them stakes is high.....

Wenyen is Jalen's boy. I actually hope he waits his recruitment out a bit, sees how much fun and how good Jalen is doing this year, and wants to join the party. If he wants to stay close to home it's a no brainer. Plus, he'll get far more burn with us. I have hope.

It's amazing how much sway recruiting analysts have over this board's emotions. I suppose if your day-to-day fix revolves around the whims of teenagers and the slant of media types, it's going to be a roller coaster ride...

Kentucky just offered this kid.

@BallasTV: 2016 6'10 F Wenyen Gabriel @WenyenGabriel just announced he was offered by Kentucky http://post original url/IXtOP1f3DR

His older sister goes to BC and wants him to focus on academics as well, looks like parents may be pushing dook.

Still feel pretty good about this one - Gabriel seems pretty level headed and hopefully Jalen's in his ear. We'll see how it plays out

wonder how much he will jump in the rankings? he holds some serious offers and interest. If he commits to duke you can bet he'll miraculous turn 5 *

"Gabriel is currently regarded as a three-star prospect, but he's definitely outplayed that status during the month of July. With Mass Rivals in Las Vegas, Gabriel has averaged 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. Showing improved offensive versatility besides being a do-it-all defender, Gabriel has also shot 59 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3-point range in Las Vegas."

Game about to start now, the ESPN recruiting guys are giddy about him getting a UK offer

With this coaching staff have we gone 4 deep regularly (assuming it'll become relatively common here on out until a commitment) for any other recruit?

I think this kid is going to end up at Duke. But hey, I thought DeAndre would end up at Kentucky and that didn't end up happening.
