Settle a bet please. Was that guy out of bounds?

I thought he was in bounds but haven't had a chance to check yet. Does anyone remember roughly what the game time was?

Edit: Can't get a clear screenshot, but I'll say slightly more likely he was out

How much time was left on the clock? I thought they could only review that if it there was less than 2 minutes on the clock. But I do recall sitting there and thinking the same thing....

Absolutely was out. It is a reviewable play and yet they didn't. Fail by the refs. One of many.

9:47 left so was not reviewable

Well whatever we think of Big East refs, they’re light years better than the AAC refs we dealt with.

Honestly, I just think college basketball officials are inconsistent. The AAC refs were also SEC refs I believe. To my "casual" eyes, each crew calls the game differently, and some crews call each half differently. I wouldn't mind Hurley calling a TO at 4-5 minutes and saying "OK, it seems they are calling it this way...so do the following"

Agreed. I'd love to see TV timeouts moved to every 5 minutes and give each coach 1 challenge per half.
Networks won't willingly give up 1 extra slot of commercials each half though, so the NCAA won't change that

With how atrocious college refs are, coaches need to get 1 or 2 challenges per game.
But then those same bumbling idiots get to play around with and stare at a screen and have a 5 minute chat over tea about it. You want correct calls but Idk if we want all that in CBB. It’s bad enough in the NBA/NFL; seems like a can of worms

Put a clock on it (ie you gotta have an answer by the end of the TV timeout).

I think the ref was so focused on whether his foot hit the line before he did that big jump. The ref didn't even consider that he landed before he let go of the ball.

Also, did they reset the shot clock late in the game when Cole missed a layup that only appeared to hit backboard and Martin followed it with a putback? It looked to me like the clock would’ve expired before Martin could grab it but they didn’t talk about it or show a replay.

Was really really close, but it wasn't reset and Martin got the shot off. You can see the corner of the shot clock in upper right corner by the Fox logo here, shows 1 point something after Martin released the ball

This sounds crazy I know but I could have sworn that when we got whistled for our 8th foul of the second half, the refs gave the ball to SJU to inbound it and did not have the SJU player on the line to shoot the 1 and 1. I would love to see if that was what happened?

It was an offensive foul so no FTs even though they were in the bonus
