Geno has moved these ceremonies to after the game. I think that's a smart idea.

Geno rarely loses a Big East game at home. Hard to compare the two. Ceremonies can be a real drag after a tough loss.

They didn’t call the 40 time they fouled Demary throughout the game. Seton Hall fouls atleast 5 times per defensive possession. They will never win an ncaa game, because they will get called for those fouls outside of Big Easy

And despite the quiet whistles, Payne still managed to foul out in 9 minutes

Nah this goes back a couple months at this point. As I said above, I know for a fact that some of the awful stuff posted on here makes its way back to players, their families, coaches, announcers, etc. I will call it out so at least those posters don’t think everyone supports their ridiculous behavior. Don’t care if you agree or not.

And, again, Donny Marshall is a grown ass 53 year old man, working in a public facing role, ostensibly as a sports "journalist". Criticism of his WORK product is 100% fair game. Period. This has nothing to do with people trashing players or this team.

I don’t follow the NBA much but didn’t Donny start out as a studio guy for the Celtics years ago? I seem to remember liking his stuff but maybe I was just excited to see him.

Maybe studio analyst fits his strengths better. Good guy, great Husky, but not that great a commentator. I think that’s generally most people’s take.

Seems like the best announcers are the ones who have done their homework (pre-game) and display some analytical ability of how this connects to what is/is not going on in the game at the moment. Pre-game preparation. Maybe he does all that work but just gets caught up in the excitement and forgets about where the audience is. I like it when the announcers tell me things about the teams and players that I did not know. For a time Kara Wolters was doing men's games and was excellent. Really did her homework. Noticeable difference
between her and other announcers to me. It was like a scouting report.
