Seton Hall Post Game Thread

23 got blown out at home by a bad St. John’s team. I also remember them allowing a major comeback by the Hall late in the game at Gampel.

Maybe don’t make stuff up . . .
And when in that season”s campaign did this occur. Not in the tournament when it counts. Right now this team is not at the level of the 2023 team during the NCAA run when it matters. There is still time to get to that level. I’m not making crap up.

What’s the difference between a creator, a facilitator and a passer?
1. A person who moves through the defense in variable ways and finds his own shot.
2. A person integral to the offense & who understands his role within it, and executes his role.
3. A person who passes the ball.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the same thing! And using white typeface over that white marble background on the SH side was brutal too. Hate truTV's scorebug!
For all the improvements made with the video board at Gampel, we do the same thing. Team fouls are only shown in a small font under the running score. From my seats it’s alway tough to keep track while the game is going on.

.-.
And even with the slow mo replay you couldn't even see if Alex even had the ball or the hand / arm, and the ref that called it was behind the play where you really couldn't see it at all
I am not sure why they had an issue with Alex? They called him for this nonfoul and then others that left him and viewers scratching their heads.

You can’t let one team maul the other but then call either phantom or touch fouls on the other.

Refs tried to make it as close is possible once we took large lead. We are seeing this over and over again as Dan alluded to…

But with Alex, great look for refs to pick on the one of the best overall players and personalities to ever play in the big east.

No doubt. Free throws are far from free psychologically. That’s why I’ve always thought it’s one of the most badass things for a player to be elite at. In the Shaq docuseries there were multiple accounts of Shaq being great at free throws in practice… seems crazy but it’s understandable. From my experience with the mere pressure of CT Class S, I can only extrapolate the pressure of having an in-game strategy named after your poor free throw shooting on basketball’s highest level lol.
This reminds me of how awesome Bazz, Boat and some others were against Calipari and closing out games. They just got more and more perfect the later in the game it got. Absolute ice at crunch time. When asked why Calipari did not order to foul in the last few seconds he reminded the reporter that "they don't miss." Legendary Huskies. Our guys need to work on this. It is so disheartening to opponents when the coach refines the rotation in the last few minutes and gets his "killers" in the game at close out time.
