Those war chests are minimal compared to where the entire SEC is going.
Yeah but the SEC first, second and third priority is football, where the majority of the revenue share is going to go to (except Kentucky and maybe Arkansas).

Where are you getting these figures? I am not debating you I genuinely want to see th source.
Villanova
"It's probably not a coincidence that those three schools in particular are heavily invested in football as opposed to a school like Villanova, where a new coach is expected to have north of $6 million to work with, according to people with knowledge of the situation."

They have more than enough $$$ to go around. Look at the rosters this year — just armies of 6’8” athletes.

Some of the Big East teams we're competing with for players as well. They suck because of Neptune but Nova paid Dixon 1.7 million this season and they paid Wooga Poplar about the same this season. Johnnies players got around 4 million this season and Repole will open his pocketbooks more now that he sees what it gets them.
1.7 million for Wooga Poplar? 0-for-the-Final-Four Wooga Poplar?!

I don’t follow the NIL stuff too closely. I know what it is and why it’s important though. Could a program have a really deep pocket donor and hand over 250 million? Are there any restrictions or is it just a different version of pro sports now?

Also if you believe Trilly we’re going after at least 2 of the best players in the portal this off season, you can’t do that without NIL.
Any names? Or just generally that we’re going after the best PG and another position?

People keep saying this, but it's just not true. Villanova is spending 6 mil in just revenue share, St John's is spending close to 5 in NIL, Marquette spenditure in basketball is top 10 in the NCAA, Creighton spent big in NIL the last 3 years. Even Georgetown, who has been bottom of the barrel in the league over the last 5 years has multiple +$1 million NIL players.
where are NIL payouts found?

Because the school has done everything it can to be competitive. NIL wasn't the reason why this year's team sucks. It was that we did bad job in identifying the SG we got as being able to play PG effective for us and be a big time scorer from that position.
This year’s team doesn’t suck. If you want to see something that sucks, look at the reflection of the UConn fan in your screen.

I like this team, warts and all. A tournament team with a puncher’s chance.

Do we have a near million dollar player? St. John’s has Richmond and what does Ejiofor get?
There is no info on what these players get for NIL.
St. John’s has Repole…. A billionaire who cares about the team

You sure about that? They’re the best conference by far this year

I'm sure Greenberg heard it from Dan. Feels like him playing 3D chess to angle for more money than the truth.

Seems our NIL situation is good. Also seems we may have been outbid for some combination of Pettiford, Fland, Edgecombe, and Howard this year. Coming off B2B our class should have been better, and I think we ended up with option C at PG and option C at SF (before McNeeley decommitted last minute)
