i don't disagree the guy's an ass, but two examples - UCLA and Indiana. two storied programs that have been mired in mediocrity. then again, other programs have rebuilt with new coaches. it's totally possible, but the next guy is going to have his work cut out for him...


IU feel off the map because they got hit with NCAA penalties from Sampson and lost some of their better players to transfers because of it. Now they are almost all the way back, look at their upcoming recruiting classes. The UConn and IU situations are not comparable.

What program doesnt face the same issues when a hall of fame coach steps down? Syracuse will be facing the exact same thing in the next couple of years and Zona did a few years ago when Olsen left.

The new hiring of an AD was huge. He can't afford to make a mistake with the next in line to replace the king.
