As a fan of WCBB, I regularly read govolsextra.com because I think its writers (beat writer and opinion writers) provide candid and objective coverage of the LVs. Columnist John Adams writes that today's Senior Day may be the last home game for more than just the 5 senior (or post-grad) players. We don't know if today's game will be Summitt's last home game, but the possibility of it makes today's game against Florida (ESPNU @ 3:30) must-see TV. I'll be watching.

You mean, I'm sure, Summitt's last home game.

UF could win this game. They have played a lot of teams really close, but the only signature win was over Georgia

Lost to UK 59-56
Lost to South Carolina- 49-44
Lost at Georgia 61-55
Lost at UK 57-52
Lost @ Ark 73-72 in 2OT
Lost @ SC 62-58
Lost @ Vandy 75-69 in OT
Beat Georgia 61-57

So that's a lot of losing, but they're clearly competing and competing hard. Tennessee better come ready to play today.

agree alex... GA could go down, too. Gophers have had a habit of upsetting this season, so psu needs to be on their toes.

Agree on Florida. I picked the Gators as the surprise team in the SEC this year and expected that they'd be able to win more of those close games. I credit Florida with being the first team to expose in a big way the major weakness in last year's Tenn team: perimeter defense. Florida played Tenn in the SEC tournament last year and showed that Tenn could not stop dribble penetration by good guards. A very average Florida team scored 75 points against Tenn using a strategy that was then followed by Marquette, Ohio State and ND in the NCAAs. Tenn plays a lot of zone this year and we'll see what they do today.

The seniors in Knoxville have had an up and down four years. I wish them well (except against us). I think, at home on a special day, we will see their best, as we did against Kentucky recently, rather than the inconsistent squad that has lost 8 games.

I feel certain that this is Pat's last TBA hurrah. She deserves to go out in style, as a winner. For today, Nothin' But Net!

Kentucky SEC Regular Season CHAMPS
Kentucky forced 33 TOs--their kind of game. When the other team takes care of the ball, the Wildcats are vulnerable.

Samarie had 9 points and 10 boards.

23 -17 with 7 left in first half. Very plodding game. Defense is loose on both sides. Lots of does not finish kinda play.

Quite overlooked Alicia Manning having a wonderful game on both sides of the floor.
Good for her!

Another official review of the video to get a look at a Glory Johnson elbow to an opponent's eye. Inadvertent of course.

I was absolutely heartbroken, watching Pat sit on the sidelines motionless.. And stand behind the other coaches during timeouts.. Alzheimer's/Dimentia is a terrible disease.. just so terribly saddening to watch

I know what you mean. I never thought I'd hear myself saying anything remotely like this, but I would dearly love to see just one good old-fashioned Pat Summitt glare.

Everytime I saw Pat glare, I couldn't help but smile and think, does that really work? The glare torch has now been handed to Kim Mulkey. So far she's done pretty well with it.

Me neither.. I can't even describe the disdain I used to have for Tenn (granted, I was a 14 year old) but it's just not right.. no one deserves it, and seeing someone who was so full of fire not really involved anymore is so sad
