Has anyone else noticed how much Jenry Mejia resembles a much shorter Hasheem Thabeet?
Good call I like mejia I think he carves out a starting spot going forward. Harvey wheeler syndegaard mejia niese wow.
Montero looks like he could be a stud as well.
The Mets also love starting pitching prospect Cory Mazzoni and relievers Jack Lethersich and Jeurys Familia (back next season after surgery). Familia could be a great 1-2 puch with Parnell to end games.
As a life long Mets fan I have lived through several "stud" prospects that included Randy Tate, Tim Leary, Paul Wilson, Bill Pulshiper, Jason Isinghausen, David West etc etc etc.
Do they all pan out? No but it's Alderson's , Depodesta's and Riccardi's jobs to identify who are the keepers and who gets traded to package for that much needed middle of the order power hitter.
On a side note management also has to see where Wilmer Flores (second base?) could fit long term.
Good call. New Mejia reminded me of somebody.
Hard to believe but yes we do exist.THERE'S MET FANS!!?
He likely wont need tj its just some bone chips that need to be removed in all likely hood but ive never been sold on mejia health wise. i was waiting for him to get hurt from his first start. really like the kid but hes just snake bit.
I'm skeptical too, but damn...28/2 K/BB ratio and ground ball rate off the chart is insanely valuable as a starter; I hope he can keep it together.

This year reminds me of 1966 when we had Seaver, Koosman and Gentry starting out.
Generation K is a painful memory.
