If I needed to get back to Hartford as quickly as possible after a Gampel game which is the quickest way?
I can think of three possibilities: stay in traffic to get on 84, back roads to route 44--->384--->84 or 195--->route 6--->384--->84.

44 to 384 for sure

Depending on where you're parking, if you're on the South Eagleville side of campus, I actually go back through Coventry 31->44->384

Park near the music building. Take South Eagleville to 32 to Depot Rd. to 44, then 384 . . .
As a 20 year Storrs resident, I can confirm this route is indeed your best bet.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like the consensus is 44. One more question. If I'm meeting someone who is coming up 195 is there a convenient place where I can leave my car since the other person already has a preferred parking location? I'm guessing maybe near the intersection of S.Eagleville and 195 makes sense.

Maybe Margaritaville on 32 near the intersection with 195? I mean... probably not "legit' but it's a huge parking lot.

No to Depot Rd. for me. Go straight and take a left at the light. Depot has those stupid speed bumps and you have to take a left on to 44 and wait for an open spot. I find myself beating the car in front of me taking Depot more often than not.

I've had the opposite experience, but I'm pretty ballsy about pulling out onto 44.
