Texas A&M was going to be paired with NC State anyway. Just a matter of which team was 4th & 5th overall.

A&M and Maryland both had better resumes than N.C. State. I guess the NCAA discounted the VT loss b/c of Cunane?

I think SC deserves credit for winning the SECT but IMO the regular season is much more informative of a teams capabilities than a conference tournament

They didn't say that... I think they started with the 4th #1 seed bracket...and are working their way up... makes sense with the #2 seed of Texas A&M in the same bracket.
