Wonder what Missouri admits for next season and how much they improve?

With those transfers available I think things are better, and Franks/Blackwell a year older. This years team had no identity or leader. Cunningham meant everything to that team before she graduated, she hid a lot of their flaws. Blackwell and Franks had to carry that team through all of their victories this year.

I think the Missouri coach was really banking on one of those transfers to be given a waiver but it didn’t happen.

Yes, you're right.
Patrick Murphy has built an nice program within the deepest Conference in the sport. While PAC-12 has 5 really elite teams the bottom teams are not as strong as the SEC.

Let's hope nobody on the NCAA Selection Committee watched the Tennessee/Mizzou game tonight.
As Pat used to say. "One game at a time, survive and advance."

Softball, gymnastics and equestrian may be the top sports in the SEC. SC doesn't have a gymnastics team, but the equestrian team is one of the best, though hard to get excited about as a fan.

LSU has beach volleyball program which is only 6 year old program. Already ranked #1 in the country this year after beating UCLA twice. The girls are fun to watch and the facilities are nice. I always enjoyed watching this sport at the Olympics. Obviously this sport is very new to the SEC.

We broke the NCAA beach volleyball attendance record vs UCLA last week with 2,407 in attendance. It was crazy.

To make it even better, there is a margarita machine at the courts.

SEC made a bit of a push in indoor volleyball, but then faded. It's basically Pac 12 and Big 10, the rest of the country doesn't really matter. Maybe beach can be their thing.

USC added that sport a few years ago, also, but I've never been.

My daughter had a soccer tournament in Baton Rouge last weekend and the UCLA volleyball team stayed at our hotel. I wondered how many of them could have played college basketball as they were incredibly tall and athletic. My niece is a freshman and already 5’10”. My sister played basketball in college. However much to my sister’s dismay my niece plays volleyball exclusively instead of basketball as her club team travels during the basketball season. Further, that is where college coaches come watch. It is the same with soccer as a college coach told me he could see several more players at a travel/club tournament. The rise of volleyball is starting to peel off some of the basketball players in my area. It has to be happening elsewhere too.

No real big upsets yet. Will there be one today?

Based solely on seeding it depends on which Texas A&M team shows up. They should pound the ball inside but I could see C Carter getting drawn into a shootout.

It wouldn’t completely surprise me if Tennessee beat Kentucky. However I’m not ready to call an upset there as Tennessee doesn’t handle ball pressure well.

I think Arkansas wins. Tolfree said they would beat the splash brothers. In a 3 point shooting contest.

Georgia with some pretty poor ball handling. Completely swung the end of the 1st quarter.

UGA was down 16-15 with about a minute to go in first, but LeLe Grissette forced two turnovers and Saxton gets a huge block and score off Henderson asit's 23-15 after one.

South Carolina is not playing its best basketball lately, which is concerning.

Jenna Staiti has 11 pts. South Carolina bench gave it a lift.
