Vinny Siena avoided making any errors, but various fielding yips committed by other Huskies helped to cost UConn this game. Connor David had a tough day behind the plate keeping Ward pitches in front of him. In the Saturday night post game radio interview, Penders had high praise for McDowell's work behind the plate in the 15 inning game, saying he looked like a junior or a senior that night. It wouldn't surprise me if McDowell gets a couple of starts next week in the Central Florida tournament.

Bullpen continues to pitch well, with Catalina and Colletti throwing 3 uneventful innings.

Less concerned about fielding @ this point (lack of outside time) than I am about leaving RISP. Tough first weekend.
