Going to our bigs sounds good in theory but then you get possessions where Drummond backs his man down, he flops, AD has a wide open path to the basket and tries to throw a shot off the glass instead of dunking it. Same thing with AO early in the game, he did a great move, had great position, and then threw up something disgusting at the rim. As much attention as our guards are getting I would much rather create for the bigs, buts its on them to make that pass and Bazz & Boat don't always do that. In a game where we're clawing back I just don't want to waste possessions by our bigs being a circus act in the post.

They're great shooters. All those shots weren't uncontested. I'm not arguing the defense was great--my point was that the offense was far worse. If the offense didn't suck during that stretch, they'd probably be winning right now despite the poor defense/insane shooting.

Other teams sometimes get hot. You sometimes go cold. Playing good defense is work and focus, and something you can do all the time.

They've gotten some decent looks--Lamb had a wide open foul line jumper that he missed--but they need to start going down if they're going to put some pressure on ISU.
