With a twist. SEC schools will be required to play a P5 opponent every season. The Big 10 has gone to 9 conference games, although they are prohibiting the scheduling of FCS opponents. This effective replaces an FCS opponent with a conference game.

The Pac 12 and ACC will always schedule tough non conference opponents, although I have not seen a prohibition on FCS opponents. The Big 12 likes cupcakes in its non-conference.
The playoff system will punish major conferences for playing cupcakes, which creates opportunities for UConn to fill its schedule with quality opponents, because those schools need games. I would like to see UConn schedule at least 3 P5 opponents as long as it is in the AAC. The cupcakes on the schedule are already in the conference.
Scheduling opportunities is one of the few areas where the changing landscape of conference realignment is providing UConn with good news.
