I think they already do.They’ll love her as much as we do soon enough.
Depends on whether the Storm keep 11 or 12 players, and which players they keep. As of right now, the Storm have 12 players on their roster. They currently exceed the total salary cap by approximately $70k. Assuming the Storm get down to 11 players as everyone expects, and they keep Nika on the roster, they need to cut a player that makes approximately $2000 more than Nika. Leaving out protected players who are under contract, that leaves Viviens or Holmes, and perhaps Horston as well.Is the gap $17 or $75,000?
Twelve players shown so still that last cut. If we assume Nika is in, only one of Holmes and Vivian makes the final roster.
As pointed out in another thread, this roster lists 12 players whose total salaries exceed the cap. Therefore, one of the 12 is still on the chopping block. From the WNBA Seattle storm site: Roster - Seattle Storm

Put a calculator to those numbers within that link’s spreadsheet. Melbourne is gone, so no need to include her salary. Please somebody else check the math.Oldude, where are you seeing that the Storm salaries are exceeding the cap? When I Google search, herhoopsstats.com shows the Storm under the cap.

A box of chocolates, $17 and a 2032 swap of 2nd round pick. Now if I’m the Storm GM, regardless of whom I’m releasing, I’m going to try to get something for them first: a future draft choice, a box of chocolates, whatever.
If Paige uses all of her eligibility she may have to start putting "Eh?" at the end of her sentences. The good news is that next year there will be an expansion team in San Francisco, and the following year Toronto joins the league. I'm not sure how they do the expansion draft, but Paige could end up being the iconic face of the Golden Staten franchise. So in two years there will be 22-24 more places for the college kids to land.

I feel pretty secure. Would you put a player's graduation video on your team website, then cut her?He was obviously wrong with his assessment that the Storm would keep Melbourne over Nika. But I am going to withhold dishing out some “crow” until the Storm release one more player, sometime today, assuring Nika’s spot on the opening day roster tomorrow.

I think that we should have learned by now that this blogger is not exactly a salary cap guru. Nor is he particularly careful with his research. He is after clicks. He gets them when he posts nonsense and he gets them when he retracts nonsense.@18:49 into that video he says, "I don't know how they are going to do it, if they are going to cut her for a few days, and then bring her back on Melbourne's contract...."
Is that a thing? So, players and management can in fact fenagle the system?
You are 100% on the money, Crossover. This fellow has been putting out "stuff" pretty regularly and at times apparently without detailed or accurate research in order to basically get what he's really after - clicks.I think that we should have learned by now that this blogger is not exactly a salary cap guru. I think he was being sarcastic?!Is the gap $17 or $75,000?
