I don't think anyone, other than Jewell and maybe Sami, played up to their normal level for Seattle. Usually, Seattle has a positive point differential from the arc. Tonight, they had a 21-point deficit. They were +13 at the FT line, but that wasn't enough. Were they just tired, missing Sue, and a little too casual against the #8 team when they had a 2-game lead on Vegas and Minnesota? Or do they have real issues, including rebounding?

I've seen some Indiana games--not as many as other teams, because they have no Huskies--but they look good at times. Kelsey Mitchell can get hot, McCowan can be a load, Achonwa is capable, and Allemand is an experienced Euro player with good passing and shooting skills. And Kennedy Burke looked really good.

I still think Seattle is the best team, but let's see how they do against Vegas. And when Sue plays again.

If they were tired, then their schedule might explain it. It's a tough schedule for all teams (14 games in August), but SEA has an unusually long stretch of games on only a single day's rest. Back-to-backs, if you will. Excluding the Aug 4 game since they had a 2-day break before it, Wednesday's game was the 9th consecutive back-to-back, the game against LVA will be the 10th. After the Vegas game Seattle gets their first 2-day break since August 2-3.

That said, it did come down to ATL IND playing better than SEA. I expect Seattle to give us a good game against Vegas. :)

Not ATL , IND and IND had only 8 players on the active roster. Full props to them, Seattle did not look tired to me. Just physically over matched. Very impressive.

Seattle has been resting their starters A LOT in recent games. Playing 20 minutes or a bit more every other day CANNOT be all that tiring.

Agree with above poster, the absence of traveling has to be offsetting the every other day schedule somewhat.

Indiana just outplayed them. It was one game. Seattle had been crushing other teams. No reason at all to panic. This is the first game they lost without Bird in the lineup and she's missed 6 of 13 games.

Not crazy about UConn West losing but I have a soft spot for Achonwa ever since she got hurt at the FF4. I guess she finally got a little payback on Stewie.

I have a soft spot for her too. At the POY award ceremony at that FF, where the NC & UConn teams were the only people there, Geno gave up his seat for Achonwa when he saw her limping in on her cast. Then when Stewie won the award, and Muffet and the Muffettes all sat there with their hands in their laps, Natalie defied them and clapped in appreciation of Stewie.
