Loyd takes horrible shots at the worst times. Mercs are in overdrive right now.

Another missed layup. Can Seattle just wave the white flag and get home and start preparing for Game 5?

How can professional basketball players miss so many layups?

Howard finally got a bucket, then another layup rimmed out. Phoenix has finally waned, 82-78. Storm ball.

Looked to me like Sue just had a bloody nose - I’m expecting to see her 2nd half. Hopefully she’s not concussed.

Mercury seemed to wake up a little on offense last ~5 minutes (since Sue went down?), but Bonner still can’t find the basket.

They said she has a broken nose. If she plays a game 5, I imagine they will need some face guard. Just a terrible way for the game to be decided.

When Seattle wobbles on offense, it is due mainly to the shots being taken by people with little history (or just less history) of actually making those shots. Shot selection is about more than distance to the rim. It is also about that sharp difference between what a player thinks she can do, and what she actually can do.

Stewie got doubled and she knocked the ball out of bounds. Ugh, rough game for her.

Stewie has been awful in the 2nd half. Who should be taking shots?

offensive board by Little, Griner gets a bucket 86-84 Merc leading14.1 seconds left

I don't know if Little pushed Stewie out of the way or she just totally misplayed it, she should've had the defensive board. Had position.
