Any help would be beneficial. I have a choice of Section 104 Row 6 Seats 11-12 or Section 222 Row 19 Seats 24-25. I am asking those who know the stadium which are the better seats? Thanks

I'd sit in 104. but it really depends on what you are looking for. Row 6 in 104 you are right on the field. 222 you will see everything and see plays develop, etc. 104 is close to the students, it will be more rowdy.

This is all we need.......another Dan on this board.

Personally I would opt for the higher seats. In 222 you'll be in the sun. Which you will curse in Sept/Oct and welcome in Nov/Dec.

A couple of thoughts.

- Section 222 is the sunny side and the UConn Bench Side
- Section 104 is right next to the students. I am in 204 and our group likes it there becuase it is louder.
- Perspective: In Row 6 (104) you will be very level with the field. You will also be around the 5 yard line. Are you ok with looking at the other side of the field from the 5? In Row 19 (222) you are basically on the 35 yard line with full view of the entire field. Our group likes this vantage point of the 200s. You are approximately a little more than half way up Section 222, not to bad in my opinion.

Tough call. Hope I helped.

Row 19 is near the top, if that matters.

My preferences in order.

Closer to center
Upper level (lower rows)
Lower level (upper rows)
Sunny side
Amongst people who cheer

The rent website has a section viewer where you see the vantage point.

I used to sit in 104 Row 12. I thought it was a bit low. Not great when the ball is on the other side of the field. I would prefer your other option as far as viewing the game, but 104 has a bunch of good fans. Better atmosphere. And the best seats in the house when the ball is your side.

222 and it's not close.

4 row off the field is too close to see any play development. Section 104 is in the corner, so you will end up watching the HD video board unless the LOS is right in front of you.
222 is higher, and toward the middle of the stadium. You'll be able to see the entire field and play development. Plus 222 is on the sun side of the stadium. I've sat on the press box side for 11 years and it gets awfully cold once the sun goes behind the press box and the wind picks up late in the season.

Well, there's cold, & then there's COLD! Sitting in the lower bowl. Sitting the lower bowl in 104, Row 6 you don't get the wind effect. I sit in 103, Row 13. I'm always amazed the difference that it makes.

I am in the last row of the lower bowl along the visitor sideline (parallel to the 10 yard line closest to the scoreboard) and while I can see the other end of the field, it sometimes is a strain. 6 rows from the field all but assures you that you will not see plays develop on the scoreboard side of the field. If it were me personally, I'd opt for the higher seats but be sure to put on sunscreen, wear a hat and shades for afternoon games. If you could get a higher row in 104, I'd say go for that for the better atmosphere. But then again, you will probably be able to pick out a couple of empty seats in or near the student section if you wait until halftime. They usually clear out at the half, for some reason.

Tough call! You'll be slightly warmer down low on the coldest nights in 104, but I prefer the view from 222. I've sat there and opposite 104 and they both have positives. The scoreboard now helps 104 view as a backup, but you're seeing more plays develop for the entire game up and near the 35. The goal line intensity is a positive and the cheer squad and the band are nearby in 104. Wow, tough call!

Oh yeah, and now it looks like the players will be singing the fight song in front of you after every game! Better learn the words.

It doesn't matter, buy either and hang out at the cocktail party under the scoreboard. Haha, just trying to stir things up. It doesn't bother me but I know some are bothered by it. I don't care what other fans do as long as it doesn't affect me.

Thanks for all the great feedback. I went with the 222 want my 8 yr old son to get a good perspective on the game and for now he is rowdy enough lol. Also, if my wife ever decides to come the sun will be an incentive :)
