Anybody have any info on ticket sales? I want to know if I'm going to be the only one in the stadium this year

Only if you plan on being there for the national anthem.

Funny. I go to the games and tailgate until 5 secs before kickoff. I do not care that all these martyrs go in 1-2 hrs before. No guilt. Yarders seem to think we need to be there to see womens volleyball team get a trophy from Warde before-hand.

If you tailgate until the last second you are not getting in for kick off as the gates are packed at 10 minutes before kick off.

No yarders that I know go in 1-2 hours before kick off. No need for the tude on "opening day" of football season.

Only positive attitudes allowed today.

How are those top of the rent seats? It might be worth it just to see Maryland and Michigan. Anybody have them?

"We like to get in a half hour before game time to watch the pregame intros, see the UCMB pregame show and the National Anthem. It's part of the spectacle, why miss it?"

This!....no need to an hour early but inside for when the team comes out of the tunnel should be the norm in my opinion

All of it!

100% agree. I'm always in my seat 20 minutes or so before kickoff. There is something about the pre-game atmosphere that gets me fired up. Watching the band on the field, watching the lineup by UCONN's tunnel, seeing the kickers and punters come out onto the field, glancing over to my left and seeing the visiting fans, watching the stadium slowly (too slowly) fill in, player intros on the scoreboard, teams' entrances, coin flip, sideline pep talks, special teams getting on the field, and then the wait for kickoff. It's the gradual crescendo of excitement and atmosphere that is the reason why I love college football so much and, more specifically, love going to see my team at the Rent. Over the course of the last few years, I convinced a few tailgate buddies to go into the stadium when I do (I always went in early alone for years). Now, we all go in when I do. For the life of me, I don't understand how somebody can come into a college football game 15 minutes after kickoff. But to each is own, I guess.

Ever since my college days at Memorial Stadium in the 70's, I got seated inside at least 30 minutes prior to the game. In those days , we sat at the top of the student section (Row 50) so we could watch the marching band parade up from Hawley Armory & past the old Pharmacy School & Student Union on their way to the Stadium. It's transcended to where today we pack up the tailgate 45 minutes before kickoff & head inside the RENT.

This really isn't hard to do, just takes some timing. 3 hours of tailgating, start cleaning up an hour before kickoff, walk to stadium while finishing my beer, go through security and in our seats 20 minutes before kickoff! Time to see the pregame, intros and be one of the few in their seats to cheer as the players come out of the tunnel! This is one of my biggest pet peeves how can we be big time if we can't be in our seats to cheer the team as they enter the field!
