We like to get in a half hour before game time to watch the pregame intros, see the UCMB pregame show and the National Anthem. It's part of the spectacle, why miss it?
100% agree. I'm always in my seat 20 minutes or so before kickoff. There is something about the pre-game atmosphere that gets me fired up. Watching the band on the field, watching the lineup by UCONN's tunnel, seeing the kickers and punters come out onto the field, glancing over to my left and seeing the visiting fans, watching the stadium slowly (too slowly) fill in, player intros on the scoreboard, teams' entrances, coin flip, sideline pep talks, special teams getting on the field, and then the wait for kickoff. It's the gradual crescendo of excitement and atmosphere that is the reason why I love college football so much and, more specifically, love going to see my team at the Rent. Over the course of the last few years, I convinced a few tailgate buddies to go into the stadium when I do (I always went in early alone for years). Now, we all go in when I do. For the life of me, I don't understand how somebody can come into a college football game 15 minutes after kickoff. But to each is own, I guess.
