Season Ticket Prices

I will renew, the event of the tailgate and my crowd keep it fresh and make me laugh. The games are hard to attend some times, but it's still my team.

I still like to see the seniors walk and look for higher ground and a bigger picture.

Not saying losing in the rain doesn't suck. Just saying I'll be dreaming of better days.

I think we're renewing as season ticket holders but not renewing our seat locations. I think we're trimming back to lower priced seats. It'll help justify to my wife why I want to spend $1000 on 2 separate occasions to fly out west to watch 20-40 point losses in-person.

Renewed...same seats...the thought of not renewing didn't even come into conversation between my wife and I. For us it's all about the game day experience, tailgating with friends and rooting for the program. It will make it much sweeter when this team starts winning again. It's funny the same conversations that go on here...and on game day...my friends have who go to PSU and Rutgers games.

Renewed. Even if I couldn't show up at7am I would have renewed. The hat got me...

Never in doubt seriously.

For your hat.....

Why do they ask you what year you have been a season ticket holder since? Honor System? I have been since memorial stadium but do not know exact year. Shouldn't these jackholes know?

My guess is they have records, but do having their clients confirm this will save everyone some aggravation. Why not ask & make sure the records match. If in doubt, the customer is correct.......

This board will be full of people that will be claiming to be irrevocably harmed by the number that was placed on the hat they receive.

I do not recall the year I started continuously buying tickets. I bought 1 season ticket for a couple of years to get UConn Club points. I am not sure if there was a break between those days & when I started buying 4. I think that was 3-4 years before the Rent - still do not know when that was. I need to go check my ticket stubs.

What was the first year that mattered? That's when I started. In order to get points for the rent.

If you dispute, they will have Jonathon pee your stated year in the snow and send it to you to post on Instagram.

In the early '90's, you could get 2 points for every sport that you purchased season tickets. For a few years I bought 1 football & 1 soccer season ticket. Not sure when that ended.

I started buying 2 or 4 tickets once Lew Perkins started talking about D1 football at UConn.

I guess so. I was honest. It'd be impossible to track if you were a season ticket holder since 1962, really. I'm pretty sure there's no existing records of that.

well, I was thinking of choosing 1950... I was born in '68... completely within reason.

Six Division 1 football games and Blue Pass parking for $210. It's a bargain even when the team is bad.

Our group of eight renewed our tickets in 242. We've had tickets since the 2nd season at the Rent and we usually have a great time (SMU game withstanding from last year)

A question I have is it one hat per season ticket order or one hat per ticket? My buddy and I have been season tickets for a few 3-year cycles (buying individual game tickets prior to that) and even though we purchase the two season tickets under my name/account, he is as much deserving of a hat as I am.

sounded like one hat per order.

I read it as one hat per account and no he's not.

I was criticized last week for "tak[ing] advantage of the system by buying tickets through a friend, and the post got 6 likes. I'm in a group of 8, but apparently the other 7 of us don't use real money to pay for tickets or go to games.

I would think most of us are in that boat of having a person on point who buys the tickets for a group and serves as the contact person. That's how I am too.

My wife and I renewed both UMass and UConn season tickets. Needless to say...she gets the hat!:)

Nope. That's called taking advantage of the system. You need to buy tickets on a separate account and hope against hope that you can sit in the same section (let alone row) with your friends...And Heaven forbid you let points accrue. You must purchase tickets through a different account the following year in order to allow your points to expire.

It's only a hat, so really I couldn't care much less about the physical "reward." I have more than enough baseball caps to go around, and truth be told, it would probably take up residence under the other 43 hats I already own. However if you are going to reward season ticket holders then you need to reward each one, not nickel and dime the already dwindling fan base.

As I said in that point that was criticized, I think, "The Athletic Department is on the right track so far, but I was hoping for different (not more, but different)...For instance, how about a segregated area where a ball can be thrown around without harassment by the cart drivers? It'd also be nice to understand how they plan on incentivizing students."

Nobody said you were taking advantage on anything. You just feel you are entitled to sit in those seats (which are probably better than what you could get on your own account) AND then reap the benefits of his account benefits. You aren't the season ticket holder.

Now I would agree that in a perfect world that there would be a hat etc for each ticket. That way I would get 6 hats. But my sister and her husband aren't entitled to a hat any more than you are (although I would gladly give hats to them if I received them from the school). If they wanted to sit in my seats on their own account they would have to donate thousands of dollars. Easy enough to just go buy a hat.

Bottom line you have a choice:

Sit with friends.

Get a hat.

Obvious answer.

Cripes - they've scarred you for life. :D

With all the years I've brought my kids - I guess I was lucky we never had an issue.

What do you call it? Here is the actual response to my original post (name remove).
I take advantage of the system by getting better seats through someone else and the university does not reward me...I just cannot understand it????

Seems pretty clear to me.

I'm fine with my choice. As I said, my gripe has exactly zero to do with the hat. Go back and re-read my post. The reward should either go to each season ticket holder or the holder should be given the choice.

Yes. It's an abuse of power. It's like getting pulled over for driving 67 mph on the highway. Technically, it's illegal, but no sane trooper (i.e. tax collector) would light'em up for it...and truth be told, my issue really only stems to one particular golf cart driver.
