From Mike Anthony/Hearst article this morning:

-> Season tickets sales through last week, UConn said, are approximately as follows: 3,500 for the men at Gampel and 6,000 at the XL; 3,700 for the women at Gampel and 4,700 at the XL.

The men’s XL figure is the highest since 2011-12 and the men’s Gampel figure is the highest since 2015-16.

An adjusted model for purchasing season tickets, based on donations to acquire and retain seats, went into effect prior to the 2019-20 season, when season ticket sales were 2,634 for the men at Gampel, 4,895 for the men at XL, 4,102 for the women at Gampel, 5,264 for the women at XL.

Season tickets can be purchased right up until the season begins. Individual game tickets are expected to go on sale sometime in the next two to three weeks, though no date has been set. <-

Capacity is 10,167 at Gampel and 16,294 at the XL.

Have the women always had better ticket sales at gampel? That seems odd.

I am waiting to buy my Gampel tix until it is clear how they are handling covid protocols for kids under 12. I intended on getting tix for my daughters and I but do not want to get them pcr tested before each game. Anyone know what the plan for <12?

Does anyone know what the other big-name schools are for % of their stadiums filled with season tickets? Or what we were pulling when we were at our best in the early 2000s? Would love to see us shoot for those numbers.

Gampel is 10,000 seats and XL is 16,000... right? So we're at about 35% season ticket holders in each venue.

Do these numbers include Student Season tickets? Based on the numbers, I assume they don’t?

the article that started this thread just mentioned masks when not eating or drinking for all regardless of vax status. No mention of needed a negative test to enter.

Does anyone have tickets showing up in their account yet? This is my first year with STs so exactly sure how it works.

They do not charge enough for the premium seats. No turnover & little opportunity to upgrade.

That's what I thought. When they built that bar area behind one of the baskets it took about 1000 seats out.

Wikipedia (which you can't always trust) says 15,564 (which is what I thought) - XL Center - Wikipedia

The UConn athletics website (which I trust even less!) still says 16,294 - XL Center - Facilities - University of Connecticut Athletics

The XL Center website just says "over 15,000." - Around The Arena | XL CENTER
16, 294 was the capacity at the Civic Center in the late 90's and maybe into the early years of the 2000's. But no more.

The only place I can find a record of my tix are in My History. It shows an Order Date of 10/4/21. (?) But I have gotten emails as a receipt when I paid.

When the XL built the bar at the end court they lost about 1500 seats.
