Scout Team: Silas Demary Jr

Not sure I'm the one who brought him up - I do find bringing him on at one of the most interesting X in Uconn hoops history, a fascinating decision. We probably could have had anyone we wanted to.
Well we did want Cooper Flagg and didn’t get him…

We might have been able to get anyone we wanted, because I think we did with Mahaney. All the top schools wanted him. Not even sure their decision would change because none of the alternatives to Mahaney were very good either last year

Despite the two titles, a lot of writers will bet on Pitino. He’s going to consistently roll out a very good team that’s tough as nails. Dan has the two titles but he hasn’t earned that level of respect yet. It will take years to convince people he’s got that level of consistency.

I can’t think of a coach I’d pick against Pitino in a one game scenario. Not even JC, but he’d be my top choice. Pitino teams just never really throw up a stinker. They are always ready to play. I never feel confident going up against him.
But when they do they throw up a stinker it happened when it matters most “NCAA TOURNAMENT “ last year.

Pitino has a system a lot like a dominant ground and pound football team. They are the safe bet because they are physical and can wear you out, and defense is consistent. His issue will always be running into that team whose offensive upside on a given night takes over.

That's a corner case of being seemingly 50-50 them and us with Clingan helping but he wanted Duke from childhood so though it was fairly clear cut, some thought he could come here. Add in a natty and Liam here and I have to think him decommitting and coming here was a thought he had at least for a second.
