Scoring predictions

Do we think this will be a potent scoring team? I think there is going to be a lot of balance. Does anyone see anyone scoring more than 12-13 points a game? There’s no real alpha dog, game on line, I’m talking the ball kind of guy. Just solid team guys who make the right play. I do think the starting 5 all average at least 10-11 a game. Tristen, Alex, and Cam all around 13 a game? Clingan 11-12? Castle 10?

Thoughts?

I think we see Newton, Karaban, and Clingan all make big scoring leaps. Here’s my PPG prediction

Castle: 8
Newton: 14
Spencer: 11
Karaban: 13
Clingan: 15

Bench: 16

Total: 77

I think when the game is on the line and we need a bucket Castle is going to be the one to get it. He looks like the best on the team at getting his own look and only three level scorer.

I'll just say every starter will have at least one 20pt game with the averages about what has been stated by others. I do think Clingan will end up with the highest average due to lobs, put backs, and trips to the line. (Hope he gets to 60% to 65% there at least).

I think Newton will average the most PPG. I see Clingan averaging around 12-14 PPG but also 10-12 RPG and around 4 assists per game.

Can't wait for the individual scoring predictions that add up to like 104 ppg for the team.

That said, I would expect:

Newton: 14
Spencer: 9
Castle: 10
Karaban: 12
Clingan: 13

Ball: 7
Johnson: 5
Diarra: 3
Ross/Stewart/etc.: 4

A very balanced scoring attack among the starters and a few key contributions off the bench, though our bench won't be as good or deep as last year.

Newton will average the most because he can get to the line consistently. I think this team will score a lot.
