UConn 89-44. My one and only entry:). No logic, UConn is playing well, scoring from just about everywhere. Tiffany Hayes may be playing her way on to The Wall. Their defense, statistically, is solid. Are they truly that good defensively or are the teams they are playing are just awful?

Surprised to see a score that close since this was a home game. Would UCONN have beaten ND yesterday? Was this just a case of USF playing incredible ball? Interesting that both UCONN and ND won by only 15 points yesterday.

I was in no way being critical. I was asking a serious question of the posters here if UCONN had played to the level where a game at home against ND might have resulted in a loss that day. And I was just saying that I was surprised by the score. In no way was my comment meant as a slam.

I fully expected the game in Lubbock to be close and I said in a previous thread that I thought that game could result in a loss for Baylor. The TT score did not surprise me in the least.

You can't say "UConn would/wouldn't beat Team X yesterday", it would make no sense. There are so many intangibles that become part of games. You would think that playing the nation's #2 and the top team in the conference would get a better effort than a team that's tied for 8th place.

Of course you can. I have seen Baylor performance in which I knew that had they played at the same level against a better team they would have lost. I am not saying that they WOULD play at the same level, I am saying that if they had performed at that level that they would have lost.
