That 2001 UConn team was darn good. Although Notre Dame won that semifinal game, I will never be convinced that the better team won.

VAU....they beat us in South Bend by 15 (at full strength) and again in the semis by 16. In that game we blew it big time. We managed a one point buzzer beater win at Gampel thanks to Suzie Creamcheese without Svet and Shea playing a half in the BET. Even without Svet and Shea we still had TASS (all juniors), DT, KJ, and Shuey. On paper the best team did not win even with our injuries. Stuff happens when an upperclass team comes together at the right time.

Agreed. As good as UConn was in 2001, Notre Dame was an awfully tough matchup. My argument for UConn is based on the fact that they won the national championship the year before and only lost Sauer and Hansmeyer, gained Taurasi, but lost Ralph and Abrosimova to injury. I really liked that team.

everyone was telling KML to go... but she went into the paint and up the middle when she should have ran the baseline to the other corner. Dolson would have set a pick for her after Bria flashed to the basket from Dolson's screen!
