Score & Attendance Predictions Vs. Mizzou

SEC opponent at home. Perhaps the pathetic advance ticket sales suggest that even if we were in a P5 league, attendance wouldn't necessarily improve overnight. Winning may be the only thing that moves that needle.

Attendance had been pretty disappointing. From my small sample size I can say that general sports fans (some uconn followers but not diehards) are not yet engaged with the team. I asked a lot of people to go tomorrow and almost universally the answer was no.

I hope if we can start winning consistently we can get some of these people back to the games.

And fans that represent something more than a glorified community college (looking at you UCF, USF, Houston, Memphis)

Houston? You mean the 4th largest city in the US? Go back to your little dorm room kid.

I’m not surprised, last season was so bad that it seemed to completely alienate about 5000 ticket buying fans. Also, Missouri isn’t much of a name to our fanbase. More people would show up for Pittsburgh or NC State. Missouri just hasn’t crossed our paths many times in the various sports and doesn’t excite the casual fan.

Can you buy tickets at the gate somewhere? I never noticed. If so, I hope people walk up and buy a few more.

I’d love to go but I’m stuck in a family commitment that I can’t back out of. Noon or 3pm start I’d be there.
Where the hell are the 15000 fans who just don’t show up anymore? Dead? Florida? Puerto vallarta’s?
I know conference realignment has turned people off but dammit.
And to see BC Pitt Cuse and Louisville all in the ACC and Rutgers in the B1G - it’s just so maddening - all of it.
Embarrassing and maddening
We will end up announcing 21k but whatever.

Uconn 35
Missouri 31

24k attendance but I did notice ticket prices were going up on Friday.

Maybe we'll get 30 people tonight and the gloom & doomers can take a victory lap.

Winners draw crowds. If UConn was 7-0 right now people would be scrambling for a ticket. Why? Because UConn would be in the "also receiving votes" category for knocking off Memphis a couple weeks back and still haven't tripped themselves up. A win over a SEC team along with an 8-0 record would almost assuredly get them a top 25 ranking next week. Everyone would want to see the "Edsall Experience" unfold for themselves. But at 3-4 not gonna happen.

19,800 distributed. Maybe we get a walk up of 2500 today. I wish it was a 20,000 walkup

The walkup for the whole season probably doesn’t add up to 2500.

21,000 actual fans watching this disgusting display
UConn needs talent on both sides of the ball especially the defense
