I realize the need to play early season games in warmer climates but looking at the standings had no idea the disparity between home and away games in our conference.

The season starts in mid February. UConn didn't play its first home game this season until early April. UConn had scheduled some home games in late March, but they were the victim of the weather. Once they get their new field with the artificial turf, it will be a lot easier to play these games and not have to postpone or move them to another field.
