Schedule Looking Close to Final

Per several twitterers, Detroit and BU are the first two opponents for the 2K Sports Classic. Assuming we play Washington, I count 12 non-conference games.

Florida, Stanford, Washington, Maryland, BC, Indiana/UW, Harvard, Detroit, BU, Eastern Washington, Yale, Umass-Lowell.

Yeah Detroit is no pushover. That whole area is a hotbed for recruiting. MSU usually gets most of their talent from in-state recruiting.

Add Loyola of Maryland to the non-conference schedule. From today's Connecticut Post.

According to a source, the Huskies also have Loyola (Md.) on their non-league schedule at a yet to be determined site.

I'm assuming that means Gampel or Hartford and not down in Maryland.

I think this year, RPI-wise, we can still afford 6-7 cupcake games, but next year we need to replace at least 2 or 3 of those with blue blood (e.g. Kansas) or at least solid mid-major (A-10 or NBE) opponents.
