Starting in 1979, with cable, you had to pay for additional channels. And that was only local stations except for a few super regionals like WGN or TBS, plus ESPN. Now, people in Connecticut can see SEC, PAC12, BIGTEN, ACC depending on the streaming service they want to provide and oh, yeah, watch it on their phone or ipad.
