What the heck is happening at Sports Illustrated and elsewhere. Accuracy is a rarity. Timeliness is a joke. We heard for days that Skyler Bell wasn't playing. Now we hear he never said it. And just yesterday, SI.com's college football reporter provided some important new info about our Husky colors:

"After having one of the greatest quarterback seasons in program history, Joe Fagnano has decided to opt out of the Wasabi Fenway Bowl against Army. Instead of one final game in scarlet and white, Fagnano has decided to play three different postseason bowl games."

I guess he'll never again hear the Husky fight song "Boola, Boola" either!

SI isn't the amazing magazine you remember with great long form articles and poster profiles. They have tons of wannabes that know nothing "covering" teams and sports that they know nothing about.

i thought it was already leaked that they use AI to write articles? like that was old news... wonder if they're back to real humans. if so, eesh, stick with the AI i guess

I saw that and looked for a way to leave a comment. I also tried to find the author's email to send a friendly note regarding American Flag Blue and White...but it just kept showing me her other articles.
Then I saw a shiny object and forgot all about it.

It's a shame how they represent that iconic brand
Agree but there are those that cherish the swimsuit issue. Their wife does not like Playboy or Penthouse arriving in the mail but..... The swimsuit issue remains a all about being a sports magazine ; )

Do they do an AI swimsuit issue now?

Just one symptom of the general decline in "professional" writing of all kinds. Sad really.

The Idiocracy has arrived.

It is sad to think about how great it was getting the magazine in the mail each week, the iconic covers, and even Si.com used to be my favorite sports site to read. That and Sporting News, along with so many local and national rags are gone.
