SC vs Miami observation (in game)

Amihere and Boston have barely been on the court together since the first half of the Kentucky game. I trust Dawn knows what she is doing but it leaves me confused.

Same. Amihere's minutes have dropped drastically.

That is a lie. SC average 71.5 points a game.
To SC's credit, having a 10 point lead feels like a 20+ point lead vs most other teams since they are so difficult to score against. They remind me a lot of old Tennessee teams under Pat Summitt without a Parker/Catchings/Holdsclaw type of player. They're big, physical, play really tough defense and just pummel you on the glass. SC collects 46% of rebounds off their own missed shots, and 75% of opponents misses and wins the rebounding battle by 18 per night. Those numbers are ridiculous. Plus they lead the nation in FG% defense and are #3 in scoring defense, all while playing the toughest schedule in the country. If opposing teams can go toe to toe with SC, they can win, but the difficulty is keeping up with SC in the first place.

USC played tight on offense, yesterday, but didn't let it affect their defense. UCONN didn't shoot well tonight, either. Defense has been the name of the game this tournament, other than ND and Maryland. You'll see what happens when both of them meet an outstanding defense.

Key difference being that UCF is a much better defensive team than Miami.

Don't act like playing in the American conference does not inflate UCF numbers. The fact is it does not matter who you play, shooting under 30 percent is terrible. That goes for both teams.

Did you look at UCF’s schedule? They played 3 SEC teams, an ACC team, a PAC 12 team, mighty Belmont, and a Big East team.

It's crazy to me that people are more concerned about a 16 point win than If the game ended 75-70. The game was never in doubt and they won, I don't see why this thread was necessary. Miami is no slouch defensively and our best player had her worst offensive showing of the year if not one of the worst of her career. Some of it was attributed to Miami but a lot could be linked to her having an off day. I'm not sure if I recall Boston ever going 0-2 at the free throw line, let alone 0-4.
